BIOCIDAL PRODUCT REGULATION
A biocidal product aims to kill, repel or neutralise harmful micro-organisms.
This regulation aims to guarantee a high level of protection for human and animal health and for the environment, while also improving free circulation of biocidal products within the European Union.
HYGIENE & NATURE is strongly involved in its effort to support biocidal products and has been working for several years to get marketing authorisations for its products. Through our MA (Marketing Authorisation) files, we can thus ensure continuity and compliance of our disinfecting products under the HYGIENE & NATURE brand or under your brand name.
We cover the requirements of the European standards with which products must comply in order to support their disinfecting claims.
OUR BIOCIDAL PRODUCTS MEET STRICT DISINFECTION STANDARDS,WHICH HAVE BEEN VALIDATED USING TWO-PHASE TESTS:
PHASE 1 TESTS
Quantitative tests on micro-organism suspensions used to establish the bactericidal, fungicidal or sporicidal activity of active substances or products being developed, independently of any specific field of application. These phase 1 tests cannot be used to justify any product claim.
2-STEP PHASE 2 TESTS
Step 1 : Quantitative tests on micro-organism suspensions. Used to establish the bactericidal, fungicidal, levuricidal, mycobactericidal, tuberculocidal, sporicidal or virucidal activity of a product in simulated practical conditions which correspond to the intended use.
Step 2 : Quantitative laboratory tests used to establish the bactericidal, fungicidal, levuricidal, mycobactericidal, sporicidal or virucidal activity of a product when applied to a surface or skin in simulated practical conditions (for example, tests on surfaces or instruments, hand-washing tests, hand-friction tests)
HYGIENE & NATURE is actively involved in getting Marketing Authorisations (MA) for its biocidal products, thus ensuring continuity and compliance of our disinfecting products under our own brand name or under yours. We fully cover the requirements of the European standards with which products must comply in order to support their disinfecting claims.
